School Support
At Amber Cove Psychology, we work in partnership with schools to strengthen the environments in which children learn.
Our focus is not on individual students alone, but on the broader systems that shape learning, behaviour, and wellbeing. By supporting educators and classroom practices, we aim to create conditions where all students can thrive.
Our Approach
We take a school-based, systemic approach.
This means we:
Work with teachers and school leaders as our primary partners
Focus on strengthening classroom practices and learning environments
Support practical, sustainable strategies that fit within real school contexts
Build capacity within schools, rather than relying on external support
Our work is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in an understanding of the everyday realities of teaching.
How We Support Schools
Support is tailored to each school’s context and priorities. This may include:
Teacher consultation and support around classroom challenges
Classroom observation for teacher development
Training and workshops
Group problem-solving
Video Enhanced Reflective Practice (VERP)
Systemic consultancy to support school-wide inclusive practices
Our Role
We see our role as a thinking partner to educators.
We aim to:
Offer clarity where situations feel complex
Support teachers in feeling more confident and equipped
Provide practical, realistic strategies
Strengthen alignment within teams and across the school
Our focus is on working alongside schools and not directing or evaluating them.
Working Together
We begin with a conversation to understand your school’s context, needs, and priorities. From there, we will suggest an approach that may include consultation, observation, training, or ongoing support.
